Hawkwood the Deserter

Before Oceiros, The Consumed King, there should be a summon sign to Hawkwood the Deserter, before the two knights

It doesn't make sense....

it's on the first landing after you leave the toxic area right after the stairs.

I've been looking through the wiki and everything... it just doesn't add up...

Did you maybe go to the Nameless King? At some point there, he leaves and challenges you to a duel at the Abyss Watchers. Not sure if you have to, but talk to Andre and he should give you his invitation.

Did you progress through storyline or kill emma straight away and take fast way to get there?

To let everyone know, I've placed all the Embers in the room expect Lothric's (First playthrough ever so no spoils) and I'm in Lothric Castle right now.

I got the ring Hawkwood from him but he still doesn't pop up...

I don't know.. if you did everything in the usual by-the-book safe first playthrough then he should be there.

People say that if you did the Dancer before Vordt that he doesn't appear. Maybe just manually killing Emma, the old lady that gives you the Banner, without triggering the Dancer's appearance could have the same effect. So... did you kill Emma?

I didn't. I let her live.

And Vordt was essentially my first boss so... ^^'
