What happens if you are banned

Firstly, I am legit

Secondly, I only play by myself, I only ever get invaded. Only use online for the messages.

I have an invalid data warning. Going to play in offline mode from now on, but my question is if you are banned do they delete the character, or you just cant go online with that character - or at all?

It's best to just delete your save data, I believe that tends to solve the problem.

If you're soft ban, this account will be placed on another server when connecting online to Dark Souls III, where there is less people and most of them are cheaters/other softbanned players.

I'd still recommend you to delete your savedata. Or copy it & delete. Then check game for message about invalid data.

There are other ban, yes, be carefull with that.

It doesn't ban you from playing the game completely, just restricts you from online play. Going offline isn't going to make the warning go away unfortunately. If you're using any third party software (for example, some ps4 controller programs can trigger the softban) you might want to see if that's what's causing it. Worst case scenario, there's a thread on the forum somewhere that teaches people how to move save files to a family-shared second account

There's no hardban but you're not safe offline, From is going to analyse yourself file until they find something suspicious. If they do find something, you'll get softbanned. I hope you have a back-up save cause otherwise you'll have to delete your save entirely.
The worst is that your save may not be the problem but the problem could be a software that somehow interfere with DkS3, causing the message to appear.
