Champion Gundyr's weakness?

i've been wondering what are his weaknesses, in the fextralife wiki it said he is resistant to bleed and poison but on IGN and other wikis he is weak against bleed. So what is it?

if they say bleed, it must be bleed. OH, and he's weak to parry

he's resistant to bleed, but not immune. if you use carthus rouge, you can take advantage of it. you won't proc the bleed with just a couple of hits though. you need to hit quite a bit even with carthus rouge on.

I got him to bleed today using a +10 spiked mace. It does take rather a lot of hits so as folks have said carthus rouge may be advised.

How about lightning fire or any other things?

I tried a +10 refined Lothric greatsword with has a decent chunk of lightning damage but the mace was still doing better damage likely due to strike vs. standard damage. I think he's just generally tanky. You can summon the Sowrd Master phantom just outside the gate and he will provide some aggro distraction until Gundyr kills him.

He is quite easy to parry since he telegraphs his halberd attacks. Parrying also has an advantage over rolling because you stay in front of him, whereas if you roll behind him he will use the back kick move which is quite hard to dodge (in ng I didn't know he can be parried and get hit by that at least 3 times every try).
Btw why would you ever believe in what ign says about dark souls (except that ds is a video game, they got that one right. Well done)? Why would you take ign's words for anything?
