Any Dark Souls III Demo?
Hey Guys!

I've been playin the Souls games for a long time now, I remember when I played Demon Souls and those were great times. I played Dark Souls on old Ps3 for like 700 hours and I loved it.
I even remember Dks1 on Pc when it had the legendary Games for Windows Live function.
I played Dks2 for 1500 hours and lastly Blood Borne for 400 hours.
I can't explain why those games are so nice, I had fun Speedruning it, had fun with simple pve, fun at (hopefully) honourable PvP and at last doing some ♥♥♥♥ with friends.
I just love it

But now I come to my first border.. well I want to play Dark Souls III but my pc is kinda bad, I was able to Play DksII on it with like 40-60 Fps but I'm not sure if it will handle III. I know what you will say: "Just buy a better PC", but I'm sorry, I have no money for such investments.

So finnaly my question is: Is there any Demo for III to play so that I can look if it can handle it?

Thanks and I hope you have a nice Day :steamhappy:

Demo? Are you from 2006 or something? (No there isn't, unfortunately most games don't have demos nowadays.)

How do you hate a game fore 1500 hours, or even 150, I'm assuming thats what you mean. And then why would you buy SOFTS, if you hated Dks 2?

Anyway no demo, and what settings were you on when you got 40-60 fps?

mm no but if you can run a game equivalent to skyrim on good settings or dark souls 2 on high-max, you could run this on low settings.

i got 60 on dk2 on high and 3 has been generally fine on low, some tearing and stuffs in highly textured and detailed areas but totally playable.

Are there any Hardcore Fps consuming areas?

Wait.. did I say that I hated DksII? Really?

I had all my setting on high, it was constanly on 55-60 but sometimes a drop to 45

there is only one area for me where it is particularly draining on the fps, but i can still move through it effectively enough, just try to keep the camera pointed down at less straining textures. good news is that it's an optional area.

If it is okay to play on low, i might consider it buying but is it still fun?

Buy it on steam, you can get a refund if you don't play it for more than two hours - in that time you can figure out whether or not you can run it on your old cabbage.

Yea steam offers a refund if you return it within 1 week and less than 2 hours of game time.

You can also obtain it not so legally and see if you can run it and then buy so you can play online.

Some advise though, if you have a gpu below the gtx 900 series then you have to put the lighting and shadows to low or you will be crashing at every bonfire.

@all Thanks guys, I didn't know about the refund posiblity^^. And Thanks Numberwang, if it is just the shadows and stuff it should be okay to play then.
