Nah, I just thought they looked cool especially the dark blade or whatever it was called and I wanted to try them out.
Irina become Firekeeper is just as simple as that... No story at all... We already have firekeeper next to the firelink bonfire, why do we need another? She don't even have the option to accept the Eyes of Firekeeper and Soul of Firekeeper. Her story in another path is much richer, more event and more dialogues and have hidden dialogue.
It's also totally evil :P
it was her goal in life to become a firekeeper, and you did just that, Eygon no longer needed to protect/rape her as well apparently.
There could be more, you never know, i don't get why she moves in the tower.
So I just give her the tome, not knowing there is other NPC can accept it. As I progress thru her questline, I'm get the feeling "what have I done?! TT..TT I'm so sorry, Irina... I ... I ... I didn't knew... Please tell me how can I help you boohohohoho". I stuck at the end her questline not knowing what to do. I tell my story to a friend who already finished DS3, he gave me clue to wear Eygon's gear.
