Character creation crash

I can't create a new character. The menu and opening cinematic play out just fine, but once the character creator loads, it either freezes immediately and crashes, or the preview takes two breath animations and then freezes and crashes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've tried full screen and windowed mode and Changing graphic settings.(resolution, shadows)

Downgrading drivers.

Reinstalling dx11.

Reinstalling visual c++ packages.

Verifying steam files.

Running as admin and compatibility mode win 8 win 7

Reinstalling the game from scratch.

Tried removing overlays: overwolf, zbox game bar, geforce shadowplay

Tried reinstalling windows clean

Nothing has worked so far

Rtx 2080 super

32gb Ram

Intel core i7 9700k

Win 10

So the specs aren't the problem indeed
