whats a good boss soul weapon

im currently stuck on the astora straight sword and i know you souls vets and find me something better i can currently make hollowslayer greatsword, wolnir sword, greatsword of judgement ,wolf knight sword,farron greatsword,sage rapier,demons greataxe, vordts hammer,arstors spear demons fist well whatever do you guys recommend

He's actually right. Many different weapons are quite viable, it's just about which you like better, which suits your playstyle more, which you feel more confident with. That's the beauty of Souls games.

Besides, you don't just get one chance. You have Journey 2, which isn't hard at all after Journey 1. Then you have Journey 3, then 4, and so on. You can get as many boss souls as you want.

You don't need any of the boss soul weapons. You can be just as effective with a Spiked Mace as you can be with Yhorm's Great Machete. Just make ones you think sound interesting, and if you don't like them, you don't have to use them. None of the boss soul weapons are particularly more powerful than the rest of the normal weapons like them.

Hollowslayer Greatsword at +5 has 516 attack with 40 str and 40 dex and does 50% damage vs enemies that are Hollow.
14 Str and 18 Dex to weild.

Many bossweapons are very good.
Hollow Slayer and Wolfknight Sword are two great examples for that. Farron Greatsword is very common aswell but I cant tell you anything about because I think the moveset looks a bit to silly. Even for a game which had the trident dance.
Greatsword of Judgement is neat if you have a Int build.

The rest is a resounding ...meh

There are still a few boss souls that give great weapons tho.

Can't go wrong with the Hollowslayer. It has relatively low requirements, great damage (with a nifty bonus in PvE) and retains its usefulness against other players once you understand the game mechanics.

Hollowslayer Greatsword, Vordt's Great Hammer, Farron Greatsword, Demon's Fist or Demon's Greataxen, Profaned Greatsword, Yhorm's Great Machete, Gundyr's Halberd, Lorian's Greatsword, Dragonslayer Swordspear.

Mostly heavy stuff if you like that plastyle.

But that's the thing. It's subjective.
That's what we're trying to tell him, and all he can come up with is "you're not helpful"

F*ck it OP, here's your answer: Crystal Sage's Rapier is the best in the game. Also, use all of Smough's armor, it will help you so much. Except the head, make sure to wear the Symbol of Avarice. It makes you so powerful.

Want my opinion then? Use Aldritch's bow. It works best for quality builds.

Still "use the thing you like" when he does not have that weapon yet or "if you won't try them all what is the point of you even playing this game" is half assed.
