it sounds like he defended his child from a group of assasins then when he went to search for it he became prey.

I heard of the theory that Oceiros was originaly intended to cary a child in his arms. He kinda has his arms in the first phase like he could be holding one. At some point the taken damage would make him lose control for a moment and crushing the child, which would him make to go to phase two where he is raging in torment about what he had done. Aparently there are unused soundfiles where you can hear a baby dieing horribly.

Perhaps this was too gruesom and removed later. However, no idea why he would say "come out!" in that case.

I just thought he was a psycho drago because of the isolation he's going through since the Age of Fire, and the loss of some of his senses doesn't help with his hysteria.

i notice that when you target him you infact lock onto his stomach which is perhaps the object of the ashen ones desired soul, so maybe you kill ocelotte in the process of aquiring it.
