Giant of the Undead Settlement not dying.

I got the Crown of Dusk, I have the Bellvine, I have all the White Branches. I dont understand why he wont die. I dont want to kill him I just want the ring.

Am I missing something?

I thought you had to kill him to get the ring.

I think he's supposed to die if you get all the branches from all three location. Might also be a game progression trigger to it.

I went over to kill him one day but he was already dead.

Easier to kill em then. Honestly, he's useful for a total of about three areas most people will never visit, the only crucial area being Farron swamp. Rather kill him and get the Hawkeye ring than a trivial quest.

Well, the with him the path to greatwood is incredibly easy to traverse and you can get a bone shard without having to worry about giant arrows. In the Cathedrale, you can get a bone shard without any problem, because the giant is helping. I think those are useful. (P.S Farron swamp is the best. ♥♥♥♥ you crab)
