Yhorm the Giant Help

Would anyone be willing to help me fight Yhorm the Giant I've been struggling with him for awhile now, if anyone could place down soapstones the help would be much appreciated. I have the weapon but i think i am doing the special wrong I will charge it but when i release it does a flourish and not the distance wave attack.

do you have the weapon that is at the back of the boss chamber? it's special move takes him down in very few hits, and it has a pretty big distance so you can stay far away from him.

i have the weapon its just getting the distance and attacking before he charges me.

pluis i cant get it to do the charge attack right i will just charge it and then it does a flourish attack and not the distance one

you need to use special until charged then strong attack to release
