Dragonslayer Greataxe worth speccing into Faith?
So I'm currently debating on resetting my pure str to str/fth atm. Anyone have any experience with this build? Like would Faith actually help much at all for it seeing as it only raises 1 and occasionally 2 points of damage for it or at least that's what it looks like.

Most weapons like Dragonslayer's Greataxe are physical-damage based and inventing into their respective elementals is not worth it.
Except for few exceptions like Moonlight GS or Crystal Rapier.

50 faith might add like 30 odd damage ? not really worth it imo

Alright looks like my fear of it being useless was true, thanks for the confirmation! Guess I can always look at the bright side and think of all the stat points I'll be saving lol.

If you are going for faith builds you probably need some other weapon with a great faith scaling... At least C and higher. I'll try to find any.

faith builds work for weapons that are buffable with lightning blade or darkmoon blade.
.like say lothric knight greatsword (which has innate lightning damage) can be buffed with lightning blade.

Yeah figured that :/ Kinda hard to let go of this Dragonslayer Axe though since it's like a Yhorm's Machete except slightly shorter but with more swings.

Oh yeah, that. Find a buffable weapon that has innate lighting damage and buff it with a miracle. Death to all!

You would mainly do the faith not for damage with this kinda weapon but for spells

It has also a guaranteed 2-hit stun on 2hR1s which Yhorm's lacks, afaik.

this ^ yhorms only gets guaranteed on the 1h r1s. although yhorms does have a lovely r2 weapon art.

hoping that they fix this bug with yhorms.

Not really worth the investment, but greatly increases your L2 attack. Since you will spend 90% of the time swinging I don't recommend it.

IMO:

PVE: DSGA + Sacred Oath or Bountiful Sunlight = laugh at enemies getting rekt.

PVP: Lightning Blade or DMB + any twin sword = get hatemail lol.

Yeah seriously what's up with that? I don't even understand how this could be "balanced" in any perspective as the damage isn't high enough to not stun lock.

Also thanks guys for the ideas, I generally try to avoid buffs since I don't want to be reliant on them. Kinda DS2 PvP mentality lol.

it's a good mentality. the only buffs I don't mind relying on a resins because you can have a decent supply.

but overall of your 100% reliant on buffs (like sellswords do ♥♥♥♥ damage without) duel charms can mess up your day.

I think yhorms is a bug, same as great machete has the same issue. same as how astora GS rolling r1 has thrust damage for an overhead swing and is unparryable lol.

hopefully get a fix for these issues soon
