DS3 is still pretty pricey, but he did say he wanted a Souls game, not DS3 in particular.

I'd recommend starting with DS1 anyway.

Because DS1 is awesome and it's better to play the games in order IMO. Assuming you're interested in the lore and whatnot, anyways.

I rarely pay more than £5 for a game, lol. Im at 200 and I've not spent anything remotely close to that amount of money.
