What you want to do against the nameless king is stay in front the bird's head, close enough to be able to hit its head. This will make the bird spit fire or the nameless to swing at you. Just don't get UNDER the bird because that makes it fly up and breath fire from above, or too far away from them because they will lounge at you.
It might be tricky to get the distance down but once you do they will only perform those 2 attacks.
EDIT: when it breathes fire circle to the left and hit its head, if you are quick you will make it stagger. Also when you are fighting the unmounted version of the boss, stay close to him and circle to the right, some of his attacks will miss you completely.
Just something I'll work on, thanks for the advice!
I'm not slow with this stuff either. I haven't died to Quelaag's spider explosion for easily over 2 years.
I'm 2shoted the bird on my FTH build.
Will take longer without FTH true, but it's easier and makes the bird stagger like a brick for special execution.
