Grand Archives roof, each Golden Knight drops ~20k souls and theres 3 per run.

Damn, are they that easy to kill? I always have trouble with them. Especially that spin2win spamming halberd ones.

I usually farm the three silver knights near Anor Londo bonfire. A run takes less than 2 mintues for me there. Another option is killing the Drakeblood knight near 2nd bonfire in Archdragon Peak. (who spawns infinitely if you leave the summoner serpent thing alive upstairs) You can backstab them right after they're done spawning in which makes them very easy to kill.

My loadout for farming angels includes a Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring. As long as you're out of their line of sight, you can chain backstab one without alerting the others. They're weak to Dark; it takes 2-3 backstabs to kill one with a Dark Rapier +9 and Hornet Ring.
Jump to the bonfire for Anor Londo and farm the Silver Knights that walk up and down the stairs. If you have them, throw on the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring (10% increase in souls) and the Shield of Want (20% increase in souls), if you want to try to see if Medicant's Staff (20% increase) will do enough damage to justify using it since all souls increase buffs stack. Throw on the Symbol of Avarice (50% increase) as well, but you have to remember that it drains health. Considering the Silver Knights drop 2 titanite shards no matter what, the occasional large shard instead of the 2 shards, and occasionally the armor pieces (individual armor is 500 souls, forget the shard worth because I haven't played in a while and can't seem to find it online), you can make quite a lot of souls from them.

The knights in front of twin princes boss room drop a ton of soul too.

If you need a handful of tips for the winged knights, there are two with halberd that generally stand still and one with axes that patrols. Run to the left of the stair that lead up to that middle thingy to make them jump down and then run to the right and hide behind the stairs before they drop down and spot you, then wait for the patroling one to come to you, after you've taken care of him lure the halberd one a bit back so the third one doesn't bother you and then finish with the thirdd one. This way you'll only be fighting one at a time.

As for actually fighting them, they do pretty nicely telegraph their attacks but you should have a shield up whenever you're not confident (but still attempt to roll any attack, shield is there just for when you fail to roll in time) and go for backstabs.

I feel like the Golden Knights are more effective. It's 60k per run vs 8k per run.
Remember your soul farming gear:
Shield of Want
Symbol of Avarice (mimic head)
Silver Serpent Ring

If you're really good, farm the Ascended Winged Knights at the top of the Archives, though the elevator ride is a bit annoying, you'll have to wait a little bit for the knights to seperate, and they're not exactly free souls. Hint: Backstab-fish for days.

Otherwise, farm the three Silver Knights at Anor Londo, quick and easy, and you can pop Gold Serpent Ring to farm Concords too while you're at it.

If you're using a STR build and have a weapon with very strong AR, like Dragonslayer Greataxe, Yhorm's Machete, or a UGS, farm the Drakeblood Knight at Dragonkin Mausoleum. Get right behind his spawn point, equip Hornet Ring, and backstab him upon spawn. Hit once more to finish as necessary. Almost 8k souls per kill, and he respawns almost instantly while the Man-Serpent Summoner is still alive.

Cast Rapport on one of the first two Winged Knights in the Archives and watch the magic happen. If you cast it on the 3rd you can just equip your best dps-weapon and hack him away. In that time one of the first 2 Knights will most likely already be dead and the other one severely injured so that you can just finish the remaining one.
