caetus, parry dagger, or a weapon than can parry.
Umm... yeah... I find choices annoying too...
More understandably, its anoyying that you can't parry with a shield that has a specific style, instead of being able to parry with any shield. Its more than a "choice" as your shield type can adapt your playstyle, undoubtebly.
or as an alternative they could have separate buttons for parrying and weapon arts.
Well the thing is I dont really care about weapon arts, and i'd rather just be able to parry with any shield.
my controller has a hundred and sixteen buttons and i dont seem to have any issue
Then pick a shield with the parry ability.
What's the problem?
because the ones that can parry either dont have 100% physical damage block or are later into the game. I can probably get the black knight shield in anor londo (took me 2 damn hours to farm it in dark souls 1), but im still not there yet. im just saying its annoying you have to choose between 100% physical damage block or parrying until much later into the game, while that just wasnt the case in dark souls 1 and 2.
