But even better, get used to managing your stamina, and try not to rely on them. If you have to, up your endurance a bit, and lower your weight ratio. If you keep it around 30 percent or lower, you get a really good fast roll and low stamina drain.
You need those items when going against ganks. Not sure how many times a simple bundle or boost made the difference for me in those situations.
Eating one is the way to go and have your rings be something to help you deal more damage.
The ring itself is probably enough. I didn't realize how little the grass crest shield actually gave. Which is good news for me because I want to use a better shield.
For DS1:
Cloranthy Ring: Increases stamina regeneration by 20 points/second (base stamina regeneration is 45 points/second).
Green Blossom: Increases Stamina recovery speed by 40 per second when consumed. Duration: 60 seconds
Grass Crest Shield: Increases stamina regen by 10 points per second (~22.5% more than base), also when two-handing a weapon.
I'm not sure how that translates into DS1. But looking at this it appears that they nerfed the GCS in DS3 but the ring was buffed.
The ring does beat out the normal blossums though.
Grass crest is completely useless in ds3 and should never be used.
This why ring swapping is a great trick to learn, if you can menu fast enough to swap rings in a fight, then you can swap weapons or spam rof, or do anything really. It really opens up fun combat.
