Data erased !
I have like 70+H time IG on Dark Souls 3, that's not huge, but still something, but yesterday I wanted to show the game to a friend, but all the data has been erased ! Am I the only one in this case ? What should I do to get my character back ?

I've just bought a new pc, I was on windows 10 but now I'm on 7, you think that's the reason ?

Did you back up your save data?

Dark Souls 3 doesn't have Steam Cloud enabled. If you started on your old PC, then started playing on your new PC, then that's why.

:steammocking:Rekt son... Why do people blindly erase their data without checking for a backup/sync before? Using brain in 2016

If you still have your old PC just copy the saves to your new one. Get some knowledge about computers, don't be computer illiterate. If you don't want to increase your computer skills I recommend buying a console. There you won't have to copy files and other things that require some knowledge/research.

Wow hey some of you guys should chill a bit, copying all the files I needed was the first thing I've done, you really think I'll dl steam then dl all of my games ? Don't tell me I'm dumb before asking questions, I've already played DS3 on this computer with the right character, I did nothing special between this day (when everything was fine) and the day I lost my data

Oh actually I've enabled the family mode if this can help

Instead of just copying the dark souls 3 files, what about the save files?

Finally a useful awnser ! So here, to resume, I have to take my DS3 folder from AppData in my previous hard drive, and copy it in my new hard drive right ? The problem is that my old hard drive is empty, I cleared everything after finishing to copy everything I needed, and well as I said, like 2 weeks ago I was still able to play on the right data. Don't tell me I'm screwed...

It's not disabled, they just never bothered implementing it.
Or from what i heard it was because of optmization issues it was left out.

Alright thanks for your help anyway :)
Always copy My Game or My Documents Folder since thats where all the Standard Save Files go
