can someone explain why SS deals 250 dmg at 40/40 and FUGS 300 at 50 str ?

because it has S scaling in str and E scaling in dex? highest possible scaling in str and lowest in dex, this is usually what strength weapons do, benefit alot from str and barely from dex. also did you upgrade it? your AR should be around 550 with 40/40 +5 FUGS

Also, maybe, you fought different oponents and the one who was against FUG had higher defenses - high vitality for example combined with some nice armor.

i mean like why simple sword with quality build deals same amount of dmg like UGS type... sure when i switch to profaned or other ugs swords they deal normal dmg but fugs alone deals so minimal i get feelings sometimes why bother with that huge af sword if i can use pointy stick and deal same dmg

Dude. You don't meet the strength requirements. You need 50 strength for a Fume Ultra Greatsword. I can't believe nobody caught that.It has 582 AR when you have the right stats for it.

No, FUSG has 582 AR. Lothric Knight Straightsword has 408. 582 and 408 are not the same.

i used diffrent builds for those weapons, quality for SS and 50 STR for fume

you can 2 hand at 34 strength

atm i dueled and tested stuff, so lothric with quality dealt 280~ per hit and fugs 308 with 50 str explain that minimal dmg diffrent while AR differs for around 200+

I always deal close to 400 with a Fume Ultragreatsword, sometimes more. I three shot people with it. I don't know what to tell you, other than stop complaining.

dude he is using resin left n right and if he gets higher than 350 dmg its usually counter hit with thrust.. so you're full of ♥♥♥♥
