Ps4 controller not working with darksouls 3

I need some help since my ps4 controlller isnt working with darksouls 3. I have ds4 windows, I checked off hide controller, and I boot up ds4 windows first but nothing is happening. somebody please help!

My hands get incredibly sweaty with ps4 controllers, not as much with 360.

If you have the latest Win10 update simply launch the DS4Windows, plug in your controller and let it all update, get the drivers and so on. Windows should recognise it as an Xbox controller and allow usage.
Try also plugging and unplugging the controller, check if you hear the USB recognition sound, tick and untick the Hide DS4 option and also try changing the USB slot if that might be an issue

This is what works for me:
1) Turn off your DS4Windows
2) Go to your device manager window and turn off Bluetooth HID-Device (Human Interface Devices category)
3) Turn DS4Windows on
4) Turn Bluetooth HID-Device on
5) Push connect button on your controller
You need to do it every time after computer restart if youm want to play DS2 or DS3.

Mine's working like a charm

Mine is still not working. I updated my pc, launched DS4Windows, plugged in my controller and so on so forth. I dont believe that windows recognizes it as a xbox controller because as soon as I plug it in without the ds4 software it lights up but then fades to dark. Ive been using Ds4 for a long time now and this is the first time it has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with me like this.

This doesnt work for me since when I go to device manager I cant find that option.

same here, some days ago it was all fine. Now my ps4 controller isnt working. If i fix the rotate cam bug i cant move with ps4 controller. If the camera is rotating i can walk and hit with controller

I believe it might have to do something with the new patch or something because it was working fine before

Game freezes constantly with ds4 tool with new patch. Game freezes for 10-20 seconds every 55 minutes unless i play kb+m. Thanks for ruining my game from

The API for the Steam Controller allows the PS4 pad to be used natively (no DS4Windows) since both Steam/PS4 controller are almost functionally identical. I don't know if it is implemented yet though. Start up Big Picture and check :)

just use InputMapper its the newer version of ds4windows

i even play bluetooth with my Ps4 controller

It might be active now, I don't know. I dont have my PS4 pad anymore, so I cant test. It should be in Big Picture mode though

I am using PS4 controller + InputMapper software. Works like a dream

My sequence:
1. Turn controller on
2. Go to DS4Windows - Settings - change option "Hide DS4 controller' twice, i.e. it will be back to "hide enabled" for me.
3. Delete HID-Controller in Windows settings.
4. Run the game

Works 100%, but have to repeat after every PC reboot

I've recently got the same problem... I restarted couple of time and it worked, and now again it's not working anymore... even for other games... so uncommon
