I will not be buying Sekiro: SDT anytime soon. Lingering problems like this are inexcusable. I've barely played DS3 and I was ready to uninstall because of this bug.
Now I can finally get through this game, and have a more enjoyable experience.
Not only does this mod fix the issue, but the game looks better, especially at higher resolutions. :)
Playing in offline mode has given me no issues so far..
Is there also a guide somewhere for installing this mod?
Edit: nevermind I've sorted it now. Needed to install ds3 mod engine. I just followed the steps from the nexus page. Very little texture popping now!
When you first load into this game, there is no LOD/draw distance bug, but once you fast travel or die, the LOD/draw distance bug kicks in...
The best way to check is to go to road of sacrifice then go to the main menu, then load your character that should be in road of sacrifice and you will see almost no texture poppin issue with trees... But if you die or you fast travel, the LOAD/draw distance bug kicks in, and if you look at the trees as you move in road of sacrifices, there will be crazy texture poppin issues. This happens everywhere of course
So yes this is more a bug than anything else. And from what I have read, From software just need to change some values in their files. We need to be vocal about this so that From software fixes this glitch...
This mod effectively fixes this issue BUT you can get banned by using this mod, this is beyond ridiculous.
The forest areas, swamp and some other areas like the demon ruins have major issues with pop-in. I ended up installing the mod halfway or so through the game when I first played it. It's just horrible. Instead of giving PC players a proper LOD slider it still looks like aids at max ingame settings. If they had an option to double/triple the LOD distance this wouldn't have been an issue.
