Can't start Ashes of Ariandel after beating game?

I just recently did my first playthrough of the game, and was saving the DLC's until after I beat the base game. Do I have to do a new playthrough with NG2 before being able to access the DLC?

The NPC to start Ashes of Ariandel is no longer available at the Cleansing Chapel.

All of the DLC is installed, and the option to play was available before beating the game.

I've googled it and found several other people with this issue. Their solutions were to travel back to FL Shrine and he reappears.

I've traveled, I've restarted the game, I've restarted Steam, nothing seems to work.

Can anyone provide any further information to trigger him? Thanks.

Teleporting between chappel and any other location (the shrine for example) is the only trick i know how to trigger the guy again.
Try it multiple times, at least 5. If he wont appear then - i guess NG is the only option.

There's a glowing object infront of where he'd be praying. Can get into dlc with that.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, just took about 10 teleports... But at least it's finally working now haha. You'd think that this issue would be fixed by now with how many people have reported on it.
