Chaos crits are broken and do more damage than they should.
Dark is better for noncritical damage.
i said crit damage

Here's the video in case you wanna see
Still, the chaos dagger does more as he shows about midway through the video.
or maybe crit works different in PVP with PVE?
Like i said before Chaos crit is just broken, it doesnt seem to follow the normal damage calculation method for crits.
weird
Dark Damage does NOT recieve the proper critical bonus damage with the hornet ring, but all other damage types do. The reason why a chaos infused dagger is so popular is because 30/30 int/faith scaling is abnormally high for chaos and dark scaling (they scale exactly the same on all weapons) and critical strikes penetrate flat defenses, so multiple damage types on weapons are hardly effected when it comes to critical strikes. The dagger has a natural HUGE multiplier for critical strikes, especially ripostes. I have a 40dex 40int char with a crystal infused dagger with over 360 AR and a riposte on a player with this character deals around 1550+ damage, using hornets of course.
