Is your first Souls game your favorite?

I know im going to get alot of hate for saying this, but Dark Souls 3 is my favorite, and i think the reason is is because it was my first time playing Souls, and i had never experienced anything so amazing in gaming before, Never had i seen such an immersive atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and deep and hidden lore found throughout this twisted and beautiful world. Most of the reason i see people not like DS3 is because they played DS1 and they were very similar in their world and story, but for me that wasnt a problem, because i had never played any souls before. I then went on to play DS1 and 2 on PS3, and Bloodborne on PS4, and while i loved those games immensely, nothing has surpassed DS3 for me, and i dont think anything will for a long time now, it makes me upset to see so many people hate the game when it's so special to me, and well i think DS1 has the best world design, and DS2 the best PvP, I cant see them compare to DS3's overall amazing level design, amazing and polished combat, characters that even though they dont talk much, you feel a special connection to, and by far in my opinion the best bosses in the series, even though the likes of Artorias, and O&S will always be special, nothing surpasses DS3 for me. I know this isnt popular opinion, and i dont want to say if you like the other's better your wrong, but i wanted to tell more people why DS3 is so special, because the first time seeing the credits roll after beating the Lord of Cinder, i was attached to this beautiful and terrifying universe.

It is all relative, some favor that origional high of beating something on the magnitude of a souls game, and others may enjoy the moments that come later in a franchise (IE like killing gael at the end of the world, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AWESOME)

Exactly, and some of my favorite moments come from beating O&S for the first time, or beating Gerhman in Bloodborne.

demon's souls was my first, but I'd have to say ds3 has been my favorite. Only way I can explain having more game time in this one than every other soulsborne game combined.

That's another thing, unlike many games where i play it once, i am always looking for new way's to challenge myself in the Soul's series.

- My fırst Souls game ıs DS1 . I love the lore but ı should accept , Ds1 ıs really "Garbage" game ıf we compare it to Skyrım or other games ın "2011" . Hard and slow controls , ugly graphıcs , trash port ...

- I have played DS2 250 hour cuz DS22 nıce game ıf u want play as mage :)

- After thıs I played Bloodborne , and stıll playıng on ps4 . Its best Souls game :) Balanced , faster game play , next gen graphıcs , atmosphere , lore ...

- Anddd now ım here , Dark Souls 3 ! Unbalanced but funny pvp + long pve experıence :)

Yeah I remember the first time I got invaded, the invader dropped me an ember, and I was like "hey, did this guy come to help me?" And then he destroyed me with a backstab from vordt's hammer.

I guess everyone to their own opinion, but I think it blew skyrim out of the water a million times, and is better than most AAA games today. It's an amazing masterpiece despite it's technical flaws.

Generic “I love them all” answer for me.
They all have a unique style and I enjoy them all in different ways.
Demon’s: Atmosphere/Level Design

Ds1: PvE, first half of the game. Lore, Seigmeyer

Ds2: PvP, replayability, build diversity

Ds3: Playerbase, bosses, music.

Bloodborne: Setting, fresh take on the formula.

Dark souls 1 was my first but overall the one I’ve enjoyed the most is Dark Souls 2.

I actually liked skyrim.
Even without mods.
Unfortunately, FO4 wasn't good.
When creation club came along.
I lost faith in bethesda completely!

They have been helping keep alive good singleplayer FPS's though, such as Prey and Wolfenstein, and Doom.
