Are there any Co-op games like Dark Souls?

But are easier to connect to a specific person and not quite as punishing as Dark Souls?

I have a friend with whom I'd play Diablo 3 with all the time, and I'd like to get him into games that take actual skill to progress through, but I think just dealing with the concept of Soapstones and summoning would be too frustrating for him at this point.

So I guess something between the Brainless RNG grind of D3 and the "Git Gud" levels of player expectation of the souls series...

Does anyone have any recommendations?

There was this game for the ps4, a while ago is also for pc but for the life of me i cannot remember its name... its very close to Dark souls 3 and it is a good bit easyer

Nope , its more of a knights n warriors themed game , Nioh is great though i really wish they would port that to pc... (the game i mean has knights as a cover and is medieval themed i gues?)

Yeah looks like LOTF is single player.

I think Sony published Nioh, so sadly we won't be seeing that on PC any time soon.

And yeah my friend could "Git Gud" but he was throwing the mouse at the wall when he died (with zero consequences) in Diablo III, so I'm thinking baby steps here.

Salt and Sanctuary is an amazing 2D souls-like game

It's couch coop and it's fun as hell

Necropolis is dead, and invite only, I'd reccomend not spending the money, although it is in fact quite fun. S&S is amazing, and recently Nioh was released on steam, which is quite excellent, though more loot oriented than dark souls. LOTF is single player.

By the way, the deal with nioh was a timed exclusive, and not rights to the ip, as with bloodborne and demon souls.

Ashen is literally dark souls but the online version that dark souls should have had. 100% co-op and loads of fun <3
