You can also try turning steam cloud off for the game in the game properties. It'll make it so you'll need to back up your save if you wanna play on other computers (which, you'll wanna back up your saves regularly anyway, preferably storing them on separate drive from where the save is stored)

only steam u keep ur games installed
yeah, steam might forget where your games are installed though once you reinstall steam, but you can redirect steam to where they're installed and it'll relocate them and mark them as installed again ^^

Are you positive it deleted your games? Check your drive. Look for where you set them to install to, I'm more than positive they should still be there. You'll need to tell Steam where they are, I can't remember where exactly, but there's an option (I think if you right click on the game itself/click on properties after right click and click on Local files maybe?) to relocate the games.

hmm but is ur launching proplem solved ? if not here is few more

Right-click the Home button, and then click Command Prompt (Administrator). Powershell

Type sfc /scannow (note the space in the code) and press Enter. Let the system run the command in peace.

In the same window, then type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (note the spaces in the code) and press Enter. Let the system run the command in peace.

Run the sfc /scannow command again and restart the computer.

This work Win 7-11

i did the thing, and it found some corrupted files and repaired them, but still no dark souls 3 launching.

any chance you have some more advice. ive cleaned appcase, reinstalled steam and ds3, updated windows and geforce experience, followed googles 5 sollutions without luck, basicly anything i can think of except a clean windows install.

i am running windows 10. everything works except for dark souls 3, when i launch it steam says "launching" for a brief sec and then goes back to the "play" button again without anything happening.

i need my souls fix, sekiro can only hold me for so long.. i am using my phone as a hotspot for downloads right now so a clean windows install would be really annoying.
