Mods wont work

Can anyone help me? I've been trying to install mods on ds3 for about a week now, everytime I insert a file into the game folder, my game simply wont open.

No clue but I'll assume since you can't get the mods to work you might also not know you're going to get banned if you're not offline or on a separate account.

I always wanted to try Convergence but I dunno how either so i stayed away so I don't get ban smacked :/

yeah no I am well aware, i was just trying to download wex dust which usually doesnt get you banned

Wex Dust wont get you banned, I'd say try deleting the graphics config from the DS3 save folder just for a quick test. Upon turning the game on it will just create a new one using the default settings.

Windows search type %appdata% then Roaming and the Dark Souls 3 folder should be in there. You will see the "GraphicsConfig.xml" When it is deleted the game will create a new one on booting.

Big mods like Convergence and Cinders have installation guides in their descriptions. Create an alt, play offline, and follow the installation guide slowly and carefully and you shouldnt have a problem.
