Uchigatana bleed build possible?

As the title says is it possible to set up a bleed build with it & what stats would I need to look for in making it work?

Luck helps bleed and using a gem on the sword will help but there are better weapons to use for bleed build up flamberge and carthus curved sword as well as katana

All katanas are potential bleed build participants.

The build options are always the same.
Either you spend stats into DEX, Sharp infuse it and then buff with carthus bloodthingy ("i want to deal damage and have bleed as a bonus" build).
Or you infuse it with Blood Gem and spend all your stats into Luck. The thing will do no damage, but the bleed will proc maybe every 3-4 hits.

I heard that overall dumping point's into luck isnt a good idea in terms of raw dmg output and better off putting into different stats

Correct but luck ups the bleed. So put on a blood gem its better

For a katana build dedicated to bleed you're better going with the Frayed Blade (I can drop you one btw, 40 dex required). But it you are set on the uchi, I'd recommend a bleed infused small weapon (such as a bleed bandit knife) to compliment the uchi. I personally recommend the Frayed Blade for a katana bleed build because I USE a Frayed Blade for a katana bleed build.

This is the bleed build I use in PvP and PvE. I have a dex based bleed build. Bleed bandit knife for quick bleed build up and a Frayed Blade for damage and bleed procs. Works very well for PvP and PvE. Catches alot of people off guard in PvP.

But if you are completely set on going with the Uchigatana I'd try a bleed infused bandit knife for bleedup to compliment the uchigatana and use the uchigatana for damage, procs and parry.
