you can use them to poison certain bosses and mobs

In Ds1 it could be used as money ( yeah , Dung Pies as money ) , since you can sell them for more than you buy ,
In Ds2 , it deals Poison Damage , which is OP ,
In Ds3 , it deals toxic ,
So yeah , more about how the players gonna use it rather than it's own purpose.
