Sister Friede 3rd phase attacks so fast you quite literally can't even dodge through her attacks without getting outside the range of the hitbox itself, and she barely gives you any time to breathe, along with high damage and nonstop massive amounts of Frostbite buildup, grabs, a super annoying semi-grab that goes around shields, and her gargantuan blackflame slam AOE that has a hitbox so huge and so lingering you CAN NOT dodge it if you're caught inside of it. Truthfully the worst part of Friede is that she dodges out of range immediately after her stunlock ends, meaning you can only usually get 2 hits in max between her endless combo chaining.
Friede is the one fight I never bother to repeat on most playthroughs because it never feels fun or balanced, it feels like pure chance that I won and didn't die that time, no matter how hard I play. She's too fast for the game. Unless I brought a Moaning Shield that can tank her entire 25 hit combo without running out of stamina, I'm forced to try trading with her and usually getting hit for it, meaning it comes down to how much estus I can get away with using third phase before I die and how overleveled I am.
101 is honestly lower than some people fight him. Some don't fight him until SL120. If you're skilled enough, you can fight him before you hit SL60 or so by beating Dancer and Oceiros early for the gesture and then beelining towards Irithyll Dungeon to get to Archdragon Peak. But you need to go out of your way to do that, and he'd probably take over fifteen minutes to kill.
Fried is just unfair, I only beat her with help from other phantoms. But a good boss fight thats really well made is gael
Fully agree, all three major Ringed City bosses are perfectly paced for the combat speed of the game. Halflight is either an NPC that borderline cheats or an absolute degenerate player.
Gael especially is perfect.
Also namless was the hardest BASE game Boss.
oh right I forgot the some of the things I played were dlcs. Also if you had no issues with friede did you have any issues with any boss at all? Cause she arguably has the hardest combo to dodge and is the fastest when moving around.
I have a friend that didn't have any problems beating her as well but he died a million times to nameless and pontiff which I found easy. I guess everyone is good at different bosses
