Servers down?
anyone else get kicked and unable to login to the DS3 server?

For everyone still coming here asking the same question over and over again.

Here's what's happening:

1.) RCE (Remote Code Entry) Exploit found by ONE person, the exploit that can potentially be used to brick your PC/steal all of its information. To all knowledge, only he and the developers know exactly what the exploit is. No one has been hacked as a result, only one person was affected when the Blue Sentinel Developer demonstrated the exploit on a live stream.

2.) From Software listened for a change because this is a massive hole that affects all of their DS games as well as Elden Ring. https://twitter.com/DarkSoulsGame/status/1485210967009071108?s=20

3.) The Multiplayer servers for Souls games are offline until the hole is patched

To recap:
Servers offline to fix sketchy code, no one was hacked because of this. Chill TF out

Yeah that'd be pretty neat if they actually patched something in the game, for the first time in like 5 years
Imagine if they nerf the murky r1 hitstun and fix a lot of the other existing exploits...

It had better not affect me. I don't use any hacks but I got gifted 99 of every soul and 99 embers buy a summon at the very start of playing (high wall of Lothric), I've used maybe 15 souls totalling 50K total souls out of what I was 'gifted' ass of the epic souls I never used.
I made a thread a few weeks ago on the subject.

You don't have to worry, I also have good friends on the forum that help me a lot with my soul and embers, rest assured to enjoy the game.

I'm only joking. About reimbursement; it's bad timing for the game to go down though.
Hopefully downtime is for a good reason.
At least it's just downtime however. It happens.

SOme hackers are performing RCE exploits, so they had to shut down the servers to try to fix this. Btw, good moment to install blue sentinels, go check it out , ok?
