Most Iconic Armor Set?
Dark Souls 1 has the Elite Knight set as it's iconic look
Dark Souls 2 has the Faraam set, and I guess in a sense the Forlorn set for Scholar of the First Sin
What would you say it Dark Souls 3's iconic armor? The Firelink Set is on the cover art, but I don't know that I'd call it the 'iconic' set. The Fallen Knight armor set came to mind, but I kinda feel that's more just the set people just kind of adopted early on because it was new and interesting, since it was essentially armor with Jedi robes.

Note that I'm not really asking for fashion souls, just curious which armor set you think says 'I am Dark Souls 3,' the most.

The Dragonscale set worn by Faraam himself.

I'd flat out say it doesn't have one, which is pretty sad. The Firelink Set is kind of ugly imo (so is the Firelink Greatsword). Also I feel like most people won't bother spending souls on it after beating Soul of Cinder.

My favorite armor set is probably the Cathedral Knight Set. It's a shame we can't get the blue cloth version of the Cathedral Knight Set though. The version we can get is the red cloth version, which is very damaged and the cloth is all torn up.

Fallen Knight is "iconic" only in meta sense. It's a well rounded set with interesting fashion, that most new players gravitate towards in the first playthrough.

In DS3 i think the iconicness is shared by Firelink and default Knight sets.

The Firelink is the one present on all promotional and presentational material (it's starring at me right now from forums' background), although we're a pulling a fast one here - it's not THE set present on promos, but Soul of Cinder as a character, which sort of "represents" the game. Yes, we get to wear it later but... Canonically speaking we really shouldn't, unlike the DS1 and DS2 sets.

The Knight set, however, is the more iconic player set.
It is The Knight who is present in all trailers for the game and DLCs. He's also present on a fair share of official screenshots and what not. So i think The Knight fits the criteria better.

I believe that the Catarina set is the most iconic one in the whole series. It's available in all 3 games and its design is so unique for any form of medieval armor in any media and widespread in popular culture that even casual gamers recognize it instantly as an armor from the game called Dark Souls.

Drang armor could be the one but it is not

Considering that the Drang Armor is from Dark Souls 2 I bet that would confuse some people and ruffle some feathers if it became a iconic armor set from DS3. I love DS2 and a lot of armor sets from DS2, but I actually have rarely used the Llewellyn Set (that's it's name in DS2). I should use it for a build one of these days. I wish that it came with a helmet though (since it doesn't have a helmet in DS2 or DS3).

Technically it's the Firelink set. The Knight set is more like DS3's Alva set and the Fallen Knight is the Vengarl set (aka noob trap.)
I can agree with this post. That's pretty spot on.

Giant Dad never traveled to Lothric. He heard that by some horrible curse poise did not exist in the lands of Lothric, and deemed it a horrible place that he would never visit. Giant Dad without poise is a unfathomable and unholy thing. He would never desecrate himself by going to Lothric and getting staggered by rats, dogs, and naked hollows while wearing full plate armor. Plus, his Chaos Zweihander would do less damage because of the int/faith scaling in DS3. Leveling int? Pfft. That's just blue dex.

The Winged Knight set. Only found in DS3. Lothric Castle.

Another example of how we should've been able to get the special version of an armor set. I wish we could have gotten the golden version of the Winged Knight Set. That would be great for a paladin build who wants to be a little...different, to say the least.
