why a great sword is heavier than an ultra great sword?

Obviously, the Claymore has a blade of 90% dark matter... Why do you think it has so much phantom range?

Astoras gs is very thin, might be made of a lighter metal too. Still consumes much stamina so dunno.

The weight units in general are somewhat weird anyway, but its a fantasy game with rolling knights, so... Yeah.

Aside from looks, there is basically no reason to use an Ultra Greatsword instead of a normal Greatsword, especially one as good and versatile as the Claymore.

Fixed.

I think Hollowslayer is the best one, honestly. Those 3 would be my top picks.

Ultra Greatswords are Unparryable, have better hyper armor, and usually have more range then your standard Greatsword. That being said Greatswords are still really good.

Nah no.

UGS have better range, damage and poise (poise damage and also tanking) going for them.

I know, i disagree. A Dark Clay is better. Perseverance is useless against anyone who isn't a dumb ♥♥♥♥ swinging twice. Pure physical damage is hard countered by a few of the good shields.

That post was a reply to both of them but I was too lazy to edit it properly.

you would use perseverance when someone is swinging at you so you can out trade them not to initiate

It's too slow

I've had it work out quite well against UGS and great hammers. Plus I can react quick enough to use it when I see the two handed GS R1 attack. Though I've never got the weapon art to work against smaller weapons.

Fair enough but big weapons are stupidly easy to counter anyway. You don't need p. at all for that
