I just got 100% completion for every game in the Dark Souls trilogy.
Today, I finally got all the achievements in all the Dark Souls games on Steam (including both versions of DS2). Here's some things I noted from my experiences, which should hopefully prove to be useful to those who wish to conquer the Dark Souls trilogy. Also, for those who've done so, feel free to post your own experiences with 100%ing all some or all of the Dark Souls trilogy. I'd love to hear them and how much or little they differ from mine.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition

-Easiest to 100%.
-Farming for random drops didn't take too long.
-My 100% playthrough was roughly 40 hours long.
-NG+ was the most challenging, with notably extreme damage output from even low-level baddies.

Dark Souls II + SotFS

-Killing the Mad Warrior 30 times to get the Hidden Weapon sorcery wasn't too bad due to a memory usage trick. In SotFS, I just hung around the first Bellbro area until I got my 30 kills.
-Farming for Sunlight Medals to get Sunlight Spear was a 3 and 1/2 hour nightmare. I listened to some music and podcasts to preserve my sanity. Thankfully, SotFS was active enough to make getting them from coop as intended a breeze.
-My 100% playthrough took about 38 hours, though I did rush. SotFS took nearly 70 hours, partly because I was really taking my time, but mostly because of the DLC.

Dark Souls III

-Hardest to 100%, mainly due to the evil RNG.
-Couldn't get summoned enough as a Watchdog of Farron or Blade of the Darkmoon, and both have a spell and ring required for achievements, so I had to farm the covenant items. Swordgrass took 3 hours and Concords took over 5 freaking hours! Again, music and podcasts kept me sane.
-I farmed for Sunlight Medals by cooping by the Curse-Rotted Greatwood. I'd hate having to endure a third offline farming session.
-My 100% playthrough took a little over 60 hours.
-NG+ is probably the easiest of the triolgy. I didn't notice a significant spike in difficulty.

None of them were difficult to 100%, but all were very time-consuming. Would I recommend completion of the entire Dark Souls trilogy? Only to the most hardcore of nerds with plenty of free time. However, DS1 isn't that bad and has the least tedious farming, so I'd recommend 100%ing it the most of the three.

Git gud you did \[T]/

I can't even imagine the whole process of getting enough summons for the MP related achievements.

I'm not saying you are wrong about DS1 NG+ being harder than DS3 NG+ (I have dark souls 1 I simply can't play it cuz of a stupid controller issues that I cant fix), but DS3 NG+7 is just stupid hard. I finished DS3 14 times all on one character on SL351 now and I still get 2 two shot from bosses and Midir can one shot me at 1900 health with the heaviest armor with his laser (only workaround for this was the tear of the goddes). So I'm curious to know of DS1 NG+7 is the same or not. And to add to this, If I'm not emebered more than half of the bosses can one shot me.

Though I have to agree about farming the Watchdog of Farron covenant. I couldn't do it. I simply had someone drop me the ring for the achievment. Making the shield from it and an armor set which I forgot its name the only items I don't own.

When I did get summoned, getting the covenant items was simple and quick. When I didn't get summoned, I almost went bonkers from all the farming.

Midir was really hard for me, especially since I bought the DLCs when I was already on journey 10 or 11 I think. So I had to fight on NG+7 with his crazy health pool for my first time. The only time I was able to solo him without using pestilent mist (I think thats what its called) was on my last playthrough. Besides I mentioned DLCs since when you buy DS1 and DS2 on steam you get the DLCs with them anyway.

And no he wasn't the hardest boss for me, I'm embaressd to say this but the ones I fail most at in any NG was always Pontiff unless I use pyromancy since my character became a jack of all trades at this level anyway, and the second is chapion gundyr until recently when I learned him properly.

Hey congrats! I've done the same for DS1 and Scholar, working on DS3 now. I'd have to agree with what you said, especially with regards to farming. I suppose I should be glad coop items can be obtained through other means period, but would it kill them to go back to DS1 rates?

Bloodborne is actually not super long winded because you aren't forced into multiplayer.

Getting through the chalice dungeons now THAT's quite a bit of a hassle though.

No grinding involved but some of the bosses are really tough.

Are you gonna 100% the PS3 versions of DS1 and DS2? Will you ever get an Xboner to 100% it's versions of SotFS and DS3?

I will probably get DS1 for PS3 at some point, yes. Not DS2, and I'll never get an Xbox One.

Well when I had around 300-400 hours logged in DaS2 SotFS I realized that I just had to get some spell related achievements. So, it took me like one day of dedication to get them with my main NG-cycle-runner and that was it. I forgot which ones I needed, I think I forgot to pick up one hex and probably had to grind for the hidden weapon sorcery and sunlight spear.

I played Bloodborne, was fairly easy to platinum actually.

In DaS3, it was mostly the need to grind for those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ears and grasses, took me approx. 6 and 3 hours. Also, I hated having to grab ALL rings, so annoying.

I didn't 100% DaS1 yet, but I'm actually fairly close. I think it's just a few spells, too.
