Is there a way to know which NG cycle you are in? SOLVED. Resets you to zero

EDIT - Ok so I killed Vordt in two hits also and it dropped me 3k souls.

So this exploit will send you all the way back as if you never beat the game

So last night my highest level build got rekt by the new script kiddie exploit that resets your game and sends you back to the cemetary of ash. Without knowing what was going on, I blitzed thru the area to see if getting to the bonfire would let me warp back where I was and in doing so I beat Gundyr

I hit him two times. Not even double handing or with my hardest hitting weapon....

So from what I understand is when some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does the NG+ exploit it bumps you into another NG cycle but I know for a fact this level 484 has gone thru a few cycles and I would have assumed I shouldn't have been able to two shot even the first boss. So is there a way to verify which cycle this exploit actually dumps you in?

In other words, it feels like it's restarted me like in a NEW new game not even n NG+ cycle.


Only thing I can figure is maybe equip a real soft weapon and then go at another boss or enemy with a bigger health pool and keep track of how much damage it dies to and then reference the wiki to see what his HP should be.

Sucks being reset like this but hell, maybe it's a new challenge. Like can I unlock all the fires and get to the end in under 2 hours with this stupidly OP character. lol

You can look for the rings '+1', '+2', and '+3', but it only will work until the NG++

Or kill Vordt and see how many souls he drops

Maybe the best option is doing a run to beat the game to look which NG is
FromSoft should have put which NG we are at the character's stats

Yeah good call. Im gonna try that out and see what this resets us to. Also I made another thread checking if data got corrupted as well if yall are interested


So Im expecting him to drop 18 grand at least because I know I've done minimum three play thrus on this build....about to find out in a minute. I should screen record too for funsies to see how many hits he can take lol

If some poop players can sent you to NG+7, maybe it's possible to do it too

Well yeah I got hit last night by a script kiddie but we did some very basic testing today and you can see that here

Granted these mods may show nothing wrong on the surface, the real test is going to be next week to see if I get rekt in the Bamco ban sweep. We'll see I guess

Just a quick little update.

I was informed by someone with knowledge on the subject a couple details. I can only attest to what happened to me but it's consistent with what he said.

If you are the phantom, it will reset you to ng. Same as happened to me.

If you are the host, it will bump you into the next + cycle

Like I stated, the douche did that ng exploit. I don't know if that's a hack or what it's technically considered but it's some kind of script that does some rather inconvenient stuff.
