are the controls really this bad?

I press RT and there's a 5-second long uninterruptable action? These are the most unresponsive controls I've ever seen in any game since the Super Nintendo era.

All about timing, use a faster weapon if you want better times to roll away after attacking.

Unresponsive means: when you press a button nothing happens. Dark Souls is the epitomy of unresponsive. Press RT and every button-press thereafter will not register. Thus, it is unresponsive.

Then that could be a problem with your controller or PC, mine is perfectly responsive, for example, if I use an ultra greatsword, press and hold R2 (for a charged heavy attack) it begins the wind up for the slow and heavy attack, if YOU are pressing the button, and the wind-up for the attack begins 5 seconds later, then that could be a problem, do you have a video or something you could show as an example?

He mean that game have turn based attack and dodge with can not be interupted by player, and Yes it's bad and Old design or just weak port for pc

Sounds like a hardware issue.

The biggest "issue" of a sort that game has is absence of dedicated dodge-button and the fact that it works on release instead of press as as consequence. But that is just a design oversight.

The rest works on press as fast as your hardware processes it.

If there is no registration of other clicks after clicking, it means that the problem is in the controller or in the PC

Alright, so when you read this you're going to immediately think "ok, this guy is trolling or exaggerating or just being silly." I assure you, that is not the case. I'm 100% sincere.

Dark Souls 3 is the very worst game I have ever played.
The PC controls (keyboard/mouse) are so horribly, painfully broken... the game is unplayable. Not only that, but the game does not allow players to configure a controller. It's a double-jeopardy situation.

Literally 3 seconds into the game, there was an on-screen instruction telling me to press the red B-button on my xbox controller. I don't own an xbox. I don't own an xbox controller. I own a PC. Why is my PC game telling me to press an xbox controller button? Clearly something is very broken and very wrong.

I'm calling my credit card company to contest the charge on my purchase. This game is literally unplayable.

You can switch sett controls, just a mater of using right button, if u think 3th one is broken, don't even look at 1st and second part, no in fact don't look at bandai, they don't have good ports for pc BC they don't have to, so much fanatics that they can just sell slide show played on numberic part of keyboard and i mean that above alphabect.

You're looking at it from one angle. From the other angle (pvp), those mistakes are opportunities. It's all about timing.

Recommended, not required. DS3 was released in 2016 and it should've had dynamic button prompts.

Game has probably the best controls in the industry. You have faulty hardware or are too accustomed to bad designed games (close to 100% of AAA industry nowadays).
