Nameless king is straight up stupid

Bruh. The only time I ran out of my maxed out Estus Flasks and being forced to use an Ember mid-battle to heal was actually the very first time I managed to beat Nameless King solo.

So yeah, i agree this boss is HARD.

I think the dlc bosses are way easier. I could beat them in a few tries but nameless king is way harder. especially when the camera makes you lose a bunch of estus before 2nd phase because it basically feels like pure rng of which attack he will do. but the dlc bosses simply require skill and you don't feel like you died because the camera doesn't let you see upwards enough to see what attack they're going to do.

Take a lightning weapon to kill his chicken, after that take a slow, heavy hitting weapon (dark works best). Stay close to him, roll into his attacks (swing from the right, roll right and so on) and always expect him to do his 3 hit combo (left, right, stab) and only attack if you´re certain. If you get a bit more confident you can strafe the stab of the combo and use that time to either dish out extra damage, or heal twice. He´s got some special moves that you just need to get used to, but other than that he is fairly simple. If youve got any embers left, Id be glad to help you out.

All those posts about him being so hard and for me he dies in 3 minutes tops.
It's probably cause I know that if he's weak to dark/fire then dark and fire deal good damage to him(duh).
And that dark spells murder him and lightning damage kills the chicken (this thing has so little hp it's a joke).
Or just you know use a straight sword stay near him and r1 like a pro.

the most important thing is: timing when to roll. the rest is just pure concentration. those big bird of him is easy but the hard part is himself and this is the momente whe you need to learn to dodge

If nothing else, Gael seems more approachable. I might just be saying that because I've fought him more and because I've actually beat him (unlike Midir and the Nameless King), but when I fought the Nameless King, I couldn't stop taking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of hits (from the second phase onward, at least, but I think I recall the first phase's attacks having somewhat unreasonable dodge timing) whereas Gael's first phase is pretty easy

Won't test this right now because I got to Gael, Midir and the Nameless King on a save file that's corrupted
