Forcing people into ember-state after bosses is still one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and most contrived designs I've ever seen
I don't always like to invade/be invaded but when I do, I want it to be because I *chose* to go human/embered and accept it as a consequence of that choice.

Not in ds3 though - here the game just says "yep, you're embered now, you can either ♥♥♥ or tank the invasion or play offline, have fun wasting time on something we decided you should do now RIGHT NOW, føck you".

Weebs out.

Just jump on a cliff or make yourself killed.
That way, no more embered. Plus, you can't be invaded at firelink or inside bosses's arenas, so once, you defeated a boss, you can travel to Firelink Shrine and use yours souls without problems.
miyazaki saw u killed a boss and told me to give you this message:

"yep, ur embered now, just ♥♥♥ or tank the invasion up sonny, don't like it? play offline. Have fun getting pwnd by some sick ♥♥♥♥ tryhard with lapp armor because I decided so, and remember to catch those dung pies with the face sonny."

I agree. Automatic ember after defeating boss should be optional.

For example if you talk to the Fire Keeper or some other NPC at Firelink
you have choice to turn it off.

But it is not that bad as you make it sound.
