Might try this since pvp watchdog is apparently broken right now and needs updated.
Hope it works! Thanks.
According to the nexus page there are crashes and several other issues involved with aspects of the mod not functioning as intended any longer.
The mod dev themselves are talking about updating it soon.
Version before that (which is currently available) does not detect unscaled phantoms (which is a big drawback for invaders), but otherwise is more-or-less fine (few specific bugs but they do not affect majority of the players).
If you intend to play co-op, DO NOT use the dried finger item, and don't quit the game during an invasion, dying will give you that grace period. 15 minutes should be ample time to progress from bonfire to bonfire, allowing you to complete zones, even if interrupted by invaders. Furthermore, the twink problem mostly subsides by around the 4th region of the game, as the advantage it provides isn't as absurdly broken like high wall. Stay on your course, and you'll be able to progress. Regardless, you know these people who only invade at the first area with op gear have no skill, you're better than them and you're a fresh install.
This all being said, if the problem persists, you could summon an overleveled phantom yourself just to deal with them, though I don't recommend this, since you'll have to learn pvp at some point.
Im new to this game so i dont know for sure.. But when the dragon on the wall hits him for 150 damage and it doesnt take any of his health off his lifebar that seems very suspect to me. That means he has at least over 3000 hp at level 12.
We also hit him around 30 times in total and it didnt do anything to him. He killed all of us in 1 hit each.
He just ran towards us, not even trying to dodge or roll as we hit him.
It was stupid.
This would be great idea if i wasnt getting invaded 20 times in a 5 hour session of playing.
In dark souls 1 i managed to kick 1 hacker off a cliff once... Its not an easy thing to do when they know what your doing and they have infinite stamina and can kill you in 1 hit, firing infinite homing magic and stuff at you entire time lol.
Even if i did it. I would just get invaded again :l
Ill just hope they dont have hacks that allow them to invade at any level.. ill try to outlevel all these people going after low levels and see if that helps us.
1. SHORTCUTS (OFF-line): Unlocking area shortcuts will allow the host to make a mad dash to the boss, sending the invader home.
3. BANISH; QUIT and RELOAD, then RESUMMON (ON-line): Having made it to the boss, the host can use the BLACK SEPARATION CRYSTAL to banish their helper (if so desired) so that the host can quit the game. Remember, the host can't quit unless they're alone. Upon reload, the host will spawn right in front of the boss fog wall, allowing them to backtrack the area to resummon their helper. Alternatively, the host does not have to use the Black Separation Crystal to banish; however, know that if the boss is killed, the host can't summon phantoms in the area anymore.
3. WotB COVENANT (ON-line): Equip the "Way of the Blue" covenant ASAP. This will allow blue phantoms to summon automatically into the host's world whenever an invader appears. Blue phantoms will not always be helpful, but they can at least keep the invader distracted.
4. HIDE and/or RUN (ON-line): Realistically, red phantoms invade at inopportune moments, so hiding is recommended at times. Some GESTURES are really helpful for this. If you have the WotB covenant equipped, hiding (or running) will also buy you time as blue phantom auto-summoning isn't instant. Some invaders also get bored and leave when hosts and their summons are behaving "cowardly," or "passively."
5. UNDER-LEVEL or OVER-LEVEL (soul or weapon levels): Specific soul level ranges are optimal for certain areas in regards to multiplayer. For instance, the High Wall of Lothric gets a lot of activity for players between levels 1 - 12. In light of this, the farther the host is outside of this range, the less likely they will be invaded. Generally, high level hosts in the early areas OR low level hosts in the later areas experience less invasions.
Likewise, weapon upgrade levels matter for multiplayer matchmaking. Generally, a host with a HIGH soul level AND a LOW weapon level (or vice versa) will experience less invasions as well.
Anyways, it's a jungle out there. There's no shame in surviving at all costs. So be cheesy, cowardly, or cheap--anything goes.
