Alternatively Pestilent Mist is known to eat away even at the tankiest of bosses, provided they are big and don't move around too much. The thing deals PURE damage by eating away a % of the boss' HP bar, instead of dealing proper damage.
To clarify: i'm talking mages specifically. High INT and a staff. Pyromancers and clerics are different breeds.
Although... There are some pyromancies in the game that require more INT than FTH and can be used by mages when encountered with particularly magic-resistant bosses.
I want to go full magic from start to finish.
That means beating luDEX gundyr with nothing but magic,i want to see it if it's actually possible.
Oh by the way because some people said Miracle would be usually the strongest spell-type. It's one of the two strongest. If you use "Great Soul Dregs" - then you will see that many bosses are weak to dark, not to lightning. But I'm talking about high buff damage on both types.
Back to the person who asked the question about Magic. If you use "Pestilent Mist" you will see how easy the two bosses: Curse-Rotted Greatwood and Wolnir are.
But mist will kill everything
Use soul arrow until he starts transforming, then immediately switch to large soul arrow and he'll be down to ~15% health before he finishes the transformation.
The only challenge in my caster only run was Crystal Sage.
