Length of dlc for you guys?
As title. Trying to get an average of how long it takes to finish (and how much time you shaved off of your first run if you've done it more than once).

For example, my first run of the base game was 35 hours-ish. 2nd time was 29 and my most recent run was shaved down to 24 hours so hindsight clearly impacts on the length of them.

3 is probably the first Souls game that I could instantly start a new run on just after finishing it (rather than having to wait a while like in 1 and 2) so I do enjoy the game. Trouble is the price and sales from bamco are as rare as hen's teeth and the prices seldom reduce either.

Main game was 60 hours first time through thats with PvP tho. DLC was 7 hours first time but i can beat the main game in under 3 hours so thats probably not the most accurate thing for you considering your times

first time going thru it taking everything it took me ~3h (yes it was blind) 2nd time going for dlc i literally just rushed to the bosses so maybe max 1hour? didn't really look at the time then.

well main game took me 11 hours, second run through 9 and now i can do it in just a few if I rush it taking the fastest routes. dlc took me 3 hours and I was taking my time with it exploring everything I came across. I can probably do it in around 1 or 2 hours at most now if I did another run through.

considering 1 hour is my second time going thru the dlc i don't mind. 3h for the first time was a bit short but then again i am not really the slowest person going thru the game. also i only died once to a boss and once cause i fell into a hole (yes i am very smart)
also don't judge it by it's playtime. i would still recommend getting it cause it's more ds3 after all. also new weapons (got my 2 new fav weapons out of the dlc) and a pvp arena. so alot of stuff that i personally enjoy, also my fav ds3 bossfight so far is in the dlc.

That's the problem with your thinking and everyone elses thinking. More play time through main content=more value for money, people don't think of potential. They also added the arena, no one seems to count that into the equation of play hours value, nor the new weapons, nor potential future arenas to be added, nor the handful of new invasion areas which are perfect and amzing for invaders like me.

Sure the main dlc story was short but the added extras to the base game and other activities more than makes up for it.

Hours is gonna vary a lot with level, skill, thoroughness, and play style. I would have liked it to have been longer, but I can't say I didn't get my moneys worth either having played through it multiple times now. The weapons are fun, the area is fun for invasions, the last boss is great (imo).

Well I'm sitting on soul level 109 right now.

Which NG cycle?

My issue isn't so much the length, but the placement of items and weapons. Overall, it feels like its a pre-release version made specifically for the press or something. Just doesn't feel right, like it didn't get the care and attention to detail.

Perhaps it ties into the lore. Burning away the rot. Maybe the developers are low key saying we're intentionally burning the series, making lesser and lesser works, and letting it die, rather than rehashing the same things over and over like a Call of Duty #17, where its just a fresh coat of paint over the same concept.

Not on NG+ yet. I'm a bit higher since I've been helping a friend through some later game areas but I think I was around soul level 99 when I finished the game itself. Never lost many souls lol and didn't want to spend them on buying spells off of the merchants for a melee build.

What type build you got and what weapon you maining?
3 hours, but I was using a low leveled character. SL 40 +5 gear. Probably would be shorter if I was in the recommended SL.

Currently have the Wolf Greatsword and Yhorn's machete with Ornstein's armour. A lot of levels went into Vit since even with havel's Ring its still hard to keep under 70% with that gear on. I doing a Str build.
