edit: lmao all the fanbois defending. they could release a dlc that just shows a picture of a dog turd and people would defend it.
No, but it tells you where you should be direction your attention.
"It's short" is focusing on the PVE aspect.
The arena is fantastic.
They basically came out and said "look guys we know the PVE isn't exactly what you'll be expecting but PVPs gonna be great". Yet everyone still whines about the PVE.
"I spent 15€ for this short DLC?"
"They should've told us how long this DLC is"
Everyone was saying "you could check"
"No, it's their fault
Even if you really take your time and go way slow on the content, it's done in half that time... So althougth I love the game and the dlc, I think it's too short indeed...
According to a video interview conducted by the German website Gamestar where they interviewed Hidetaka Miyazaki, they said the DLC added 15 hours playtime.
Obviously they were talking about the PvE, since there is no point in talking about hours of playtime for the PvP arena.
You can google this information, and here a german player confirms Myazaki said 15 hours of playtime:

I'm sure that he said this was going to be short because the forum was exploding with "the DLC is short"
DS2 DLC was so forgettable level design wise I can't remember much of it. Think it was always just one area, be it a castle or a city.
The itemization did disappoint me slightly tho. I was hoping for more spells, maybe hexes.
Maybe it's the economy, people expect way more value for their dollas now. Damn Obama.
