Follower Sabre is a little bit strong, I feel...

I know I'm going to get blasted for this, but I think this weapon is genuinely overpowered. It has a crazy good moveset, hyperarmor and shieldbreaking weapon art. Buffable, infusable, super fast and hits really, really hard. I can, reliably, get killed or get a kill with a single weapon art. Its uncanny. In the PvP arena, when I do 3v3, 4-6 of the people are using this weapon.

This thing is insanity. What are other people's thoughts?

The dark sword had this problem and they nerfed it. Darkdrift had this problem and they nerfed it.
I won't lie, I do use it because heck, with the damage output and moveset it's great against anything that moves. However, I would be surprised if it doesn't get nerfed.

Not any different from any other Curved Sword.
I've been running this thing for many matches, and to be honest, most of anyone that uses this is terrible.
Not saying this weapon is bad or broken or anything, their timings are just terrible.
Weapon art is dodgeable, the the moveset is counterable with a greater-reach weapon.
But yeah, mine has an AR of 438. Like, howling shet. And that's before the buff.

Just look at the arena for example. 75% of the people in there are using it. I've been having a jolly time sitting them down with a greatsword.

I use it because i like it. I did notice it is too good though, at 40/40 refined +10 it deals almost the same damage of my Longsword. They should nerf its base AR a bit.

I agree. I'm pushing out well over 600 AR with Darkmoon Blade, which is nuts.

Dunksword nerfed? U W00T M8? I still can beat the sheet out of anybody with it. Yesterday i PVP'd at Sully's - beat almost anybody with my Anry of Astora build. Especially i liked twin scytes - L2 combo is perfectly dodgable, and jumping atack is a guarantied backstab for me.
But it's not the case - why curved sword is guy weapon? Why Gundy's halberd is not? It much OP than any curved sword - hyperarmor, range.

I like to think the DLC gave us a lot of neat-o weapons and spells, and the gimmicks are some of the most fun in the series.

The Follower Sabre is not one of those.

I've been pairing it with a Shield of Want (yes, I play one-hand Curved Sword) and boy, roll catches with the R1s. Might go back to Straight Swords especially dark looking ones like the Morion Blade since I only use the Sabre to fit with my current Fashion.

I agree that the WA is tad too strong, especially the followup R2 (deals roughly around 400-ish damage?) and it can be delayed. I can expect that From might nerf that WA and probably the base damage as well.

I hope if it gets nerfed, it's to an acceptable level and not made unusable.

Like the nerf to Onikiri and Ubadachi (or Sange and Yasha as I prefer to call it :P) was very fair and it's still a really strong weapon, so I can use it without feeling like im cheesing people now, but i'm worried they'll nerf Follower's Sabre into the ground because of the outcry.
