Frozen Weapon
Hi,
frozen Weapon adds straight 48 points of Freeze Buildup, right? that means on a fast weapon like a dagger or such it will be more effective, or am i missing something here?

Moreover how long does the buff last, wiki didn't tell :/

Effects (frost, bleed, poison) are scaling with luck.
Curse effect is exclusively PvE.
More hits means faster effect applying.

Effect last in same way for every creature, you may check it on your own. However, especially for bosses the effect bar is slightly larger than for other enemies (resistances).

Perhaps watch this:

Also note that frost is very refractory in scaling, the meta is achieving fast. Irythyll straight sword is not scaling with luck at all. You are able only to take more damage by frost effect because of scaling with INT/FTH for some frost weapons.

are you sure that Frozen Weapon (the spell from AoAriandel) scales with anything?

The thing with the hits makes sense... so maybe a hollow dagger would be preferable (as the daggers dont get much from Sharp or such)

And i meant how long does the Buff Frozen Weapon on my Weapon last: like Carthus flame arc is 90 sec. , GMW is 60 Seconds etc.. wiki didnt tell

I mean that if considering Friede's scythe then investing in intelligence and faith will increase the overall weapon damage. This also inflict damage from the frost effect applied, but both the frost effect applying and frost per hit damage also scaling very slow and with quick meta.

Any buff and effects spells are static, that is the profit gained is constant.

Frozen Weapon spell lasts for 60 seconds.

ok thx for this :)

so when i use a dagger i will freeze them sooner. for pve i want to use a follower sharp Javelin and have 12 STR/50dex/16INT/8FTH but I'm not sure which Dagger i should use (i dont like the normal Dagger)...

Brigands, Ghru, Bandits, Corvian and with what infusion (as Sharp doesnt give much profits for them but i cant buff elemental ones...)

How much Luck would be needed to make a Hollow infusion shine with them? (at being 99 hollow)

For high level characters the most damaging weaponry is that one that have 4-tier scaling (strength, dexterity, intelligence, faith). For infusions its dark and chaos. For basics its sharp with buffs, especially gold pine resins. For low level characters it is either hollow (starting at 20 luck with tendency to invest in it) or every infusion that scales with the attribute that you want to invest. Hollow infusions for some weapons also improves scaling with dexterity.

So, this is deal:
heavy - strength
sharp - dexterity
refined - strength and dexterity
pure, fire, deep - static (not bounded with level and scaling)
chaos, dark - 4-tier (there are exceptions)
bleed, poison - effects
crystal, simple - magic (FP regeneration for simple)
lightning, blessed - faith (HP regeneration for blessed)

For checking the differences in standard damage you may use this:

You should interest in how hollow build works. First of all, you must understand that using hollow weapon goes with lesser overall damage, like every infusion. However, if you has at least 20 luck then you'll gain your profit having one of the highest overall damages that you may have at low levels. But this also come with character hollow form, so you need to get the dark sigils.

ok but is the hollow infusion/inesvting in luck really worth it?

With a hollow infuison and good luck, Barbed Straight sword only gains like 2-3 additional bleed compared to normal/sharp/heavy... are these points really worth the investment?

With 40 luck Carthus curved greatsword +10 infused with blood gem gives you 99 blood effect per hit. Every weapon have its own blood scaling fastness.

I may only give you an example. Having 50/50/50/50 in attributes and 38 luck I have:
Dagger +9 (dark) 80+65, 83+155 == 383 --> E/B/A/A
Dagger +9 (chaos) 80+65, 83+155 == 383 --> E/B/A/A
Dagger +9 (lightning) 93+64, 93+98 == 348 --> E/C/-/A
Dagger +9 (crystal) 93+62, 93+94 == 342 --> E/C/A/-
Dagger +9 (simple) 79+69, 83+90 == 321 --> E/B/A/-
Dagger +9 (fire) 139, 139 == 278 --> -/-/-/-
Dagger +9 (deep) 139, 139 == 278 --> -/-/-/-
Dagger +9 (blessed) 93+174 == 267 --> E/C/-/A
Dagger +9 (sharp) 114 + 149 == 263 --> E/S/-/-
Dagger +9 (refined) 111 + 146 == 257 --> B/B/-/-
Dagger +9 (hollow) 117 + 132 == 249 --> E/B/-/-
Dagger +9 (none) 123 + 106 == 229 --> E/B/-/-
Dagger +9 (heavy) 114 + 109 == 223 --> A/-/-/-
Dagger +9 (pure) 183 == 183 --> -/-/-/-
Dagger +9 (bleed) 96 + 84 == 180 --> E/B/-/- (62 bleed)
Dagger +9 (poison) 96 + 84 == 180 --> E/B/-/- (70 poison)

Also for Carthus curved greatsword (blood infusion with 50/50/50/50/38):
+5 have 153+150 and 77 blood effect
+6 have 161+160 and 81 blood effect
+7 have 169+171 and 85 blood effect
+8 have 177+182 and 89 blood effect
+9 have 185+193 and 93 blood effect
+10 have 193+208 and 97 blood effect

ok thats helpful

I'm quite unsure which dagger to use now for inflicting Frostbite together with the Javelin:

- Corvian Greatknife: Consumes most, damages most, Good WA
- Bandit Knife: Additional Bleed
- Grhu Dagger: Additional Poison
- Brigand Twinbdagger: Highest Criticals

Normal Dagger is too boring and Harpe kinda isn't good
