[SOLVED] Red things are now blue

The last few times I've launched Dark Souls III, everything that is supposed to be red (menu icons, selection highlight thing, even the bonfire flames) have now become a weird blue color.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? This is happening even after I did a clean install of windows/formatted my drives. All I did was download the game from steam and launch it.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!


Edit: I'm not sure what exactly was causing the issue but I fixed it. I forgot to re-download my GPU drivers/application when I reinstalled everything. After installing the necessary software and updating, it's no longer blue!

Is it ONLY happening in game? Or are other red things turning blue too on your computer?

It is only in the game. Even the Bandai Namco logo when the game is starting up is blue. So I guess anything that was red/orange is now blue.

Oh... hmm... maybe there's something in the settings that got switched around? I've never heard of dark souls doing that before without it being an overall computer problem

Yeah that's what I thought too, so I checked all the settings and couldn't seem to find anything that could cause it.

For whatever reason my GPU would make all water in MGSV red when the cable was poorly set up.

This effect didnt happen in other games or apps.

Have you upgraded your graphics drivers lately? If you don't do it often enough it can cause issues.

(Not discounting Drunk Android's cable hypothesis if you haven't tested that yet).

Maybe OP became souls colorblind?

Ringed City bossfights can do that.

So it seems that it actually turns EVERYTHING blue, but only when DSIII is launched and running. The taskbar, start menu, other application icons, everything is discolored. But as soon as I exit DSIII, the color returns to normal. Very strange.

So it could be some sort of colour correction, make sure that DS3 is running without any enchantments or third party modifiers

I have the same problem, now it has happened over 10 times when i tried to launch, it happened to me few times already but just kept restarting until it was normal. Now I cant get it back to normal anymore.

It could be a blessing in disguise.

I mean finally you have the "blue eye orb" and get constant summons.

I'm experiencing this too. ALT-TABbing in and out of the game repeatedly fixes it for me. It started happening after reinstalling the game on windows 10. It didn't happen on windows 7.
