Crystal or lighting infused on their respective builds do just as much damage.
Blame the hornet ring or embered health, tbh.
That's the only reason I like using UGS so much since with 2 handed attacks, you don't need to worry about being one shot because of a parry.
Only downside is that you need to have the proper playstyle to fight effectively, just like any other weapon.

What kind of armor are you using?
How is he still alive in a duel after that???
And yeah blame the ring, also 1800 dmg is way too high (at least for non-overleveled chars at the meta and below).
Unless you wear rags.
A crit with hornet ring and chaos dagger with 99int and faith won't do as much.

The real problem is the fact that healing is absurdly easy to do and impossible to punish in DS3, so it's much more reliable to go for high risk/high reward one shots than it is to chip away at someone's health.
Here's what I do against parry Kong's. Run right up into their face without attacking. most the time to bait the parry. Circle then. Backstab them they will eventually stop spamming parry or die.
chaos dagger is the highest damage OUTPUT riposte dagger with hornet, no question, so it's unclear what this is supposed to mean - the base AR of various daggers from build to build is irrelevant, since what matters is: does it one-shot or not (ie, output damage after multipliers).
it's not clear whether the chaos dagger is bugged or the dark dagger is bugged (since it does less damage on the same build with hornet ring). personally, I think there is a decent lore argument to be made for the chaos dagger doing extra damage...
Dark is definitely the one bugged. I compared two builds that had about the same AR wise on their elemental daggers, one a strength focused dark build with a chaos dagger, the other a dex focused int build with a crystal dagger. Both did roughly the same amount of damage to people I fought, meanwhile dark did far less when using hornet ring compared to others.
Also to OP: get some weapons with unparriable attacks, such as weaponarts. Curved swords weaponarts for example, or Corvian Greatknife weaponart. A great one that throws people off is that the fully charged 2-handed R2 of the greatlance can't be parried (uncharged or 1-handed can, but not 2-handed charged). They'll get real confused on how they're not getting the parry.
Learning to use L1 toggle (as in block spamming with a weapon, popular when using spears to force rolls) is very useful. They'll see you tap L1, try to parry and you can then either R1 R1 punish or go for a backstab. Just don't do 1 L1 tap each time otherwise they might learn. Wait till you see them either roll or parry, then punish.
This isnt even up for debate, its been known for years that dark is bugged.
