Youtubers using cheat engine and not getting banned.
Hello, I am curious about something. Yesterday I was watching a well known ds3 youtuber stream some ds3 pvp like he usually does, but at a certain point of the stream he opened his storage box at the bonfire and it showed he had about 600 divine blessings, embers, souls of great champion, and many other rare-ish items, and all of this on a NG+ (at least from what I can remember) SL120 character. this to me seems obliviously like he just cheated the items, and he also mentioned in another stream that he used cheat engine to unlock some bone fires. Today another youtuber (that again I will keep anonymous) uploaded a video where he showed him and his friend deliberately using cheat engine to no-clip and change various body parts size beyond the limits that the game gives you, and all of this while invading/getting invaded. So from what I could gather you won't get banned for giving yourself items etc? I wouldn't mind being able to create a max SL character just to goof around since soul farming is a pain in the back.

Said yt. could have used the cheat offline and disabled the cheat engine before logging in again. That being said I have no explanation for the cheating while online. Either he got lucky or (and Im not sure if this is still a thing) he is already banned and can only pvp with other banned cheaters.

he probably got all these items from viewers (some of which surely do use cheats).
as for that other video, there are cheats that simply aren't detected (because fromsoft sucks). they also include the most harmful cheats.
also, cheaters can disable auto-saves so they can modify anything they want with cheats without it being registered in their save file.

You'd be surprised what you can get away with in CE. As long as you don't edit your stats, you can spawn ltierally anything (except weapons above your max upgrade level) and get away with it. Probably about 30% of people on here create their builds just through CE to skip playing the game to make them.

Just today I got invaded by somebody with infinite health that moved at abnormally fast speed. It's actually the first time I ever encounter a full blown cheater in my pvp experience.

Unless they use CE to give them an advantage or to troll in multiplayer, i see no issues. Big-head or a bunch of blessings won't harm anybody, especially with the inventory item-limit. Muling is just lazy.

At some point, you've played so much Dark Souls, that you gotta grab CE and run some randomizers, to keep things fresh. Though, you'll always risk a softban in DS2 and DS3. The softban system in both games is useless trash, that at best inconveniences a cheater, while at worst punishes honest players.
