Friede's Great Scythe build?
The new weapon seems excellent, except that it has A scaling in both dex AND intelligence. I'm not having luck making a viable build with this, since if I pour stats into both dex and int, then that severely sacrifices endurance and vitality. If I reduce the intelligence stats to add to dex, then magic is not very useful. I'm sadly ready to move on from this weapon but was hoping the community could provide some feedback. My fav. lvl builds are lvl 85, the max build i have used is 100.

Just go for 120 like everyone else does... About 40 VGR 30 END 40 DEX 40 INT should be doable easily, especially since there are enough Rings to raise your stats (+5 INT, +5 DEX, +3 DEX + cool roll, stuff like Ring of favor etc.).

A thing to note is that only the weaponart-moves make use of the Scythe's magical damage.

You can go 35 dex+hunters ring and 60 int, or 55+scholar ring. Yeah, it limits your ring slots, as well as you have 10-20 less stat points than the build above, but then you can also put points in attunement so you'll have no hp or stamina.

120 makes less room for weaknesses in characters. So if I have a 120 so that I can apply dex and int, someone else has just as much more in their primary stat along with vitality. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

You can also lvl up to 130, you will still be matched with people who are 120 and you gain 10 additional points

You get matched with 120s as a 100, and the meta is considered to be 120. There's no point to handicap yourself.

Wow I didn't realize that!

It's basically a quality build, but replace strength with int.

Given that dexterity reduces cast-time, it's a viable quality build.

I have 45 in both dex and intelligence, and the +5 int ring equipped. Then the Bellowing Dragoncrest, Stamina reg. ring and the Sages ring. All in all it's viable for both melee and casting, so you can adapt. The only issue I've encountered is that I'm lacking a little bit in vigor, vitality and/or endurance. Vitality is probably the recommended dump-stat.

I'd say stick on the 85 range and try working out a viable stat spread with MugenMonkey. Instead of going 40/40 int dex try 30/30 with slightly less end and soft capped vigor.
