Why does everyone hate the Fallen Knight Set so much?

And yes I know the pants were pooped in/pee'd in (steam censors pi ssed) in, I still love it. It boasts very good physical defense for its weight.

Because all the casuals/edgelords and ♥♥♥♥ tier players use it its like babys first edgelord set. And its low weight and all around ok stats make it a noobs wet dream.

That's a good point and I hate that connotation because of these people. I think it looks cool with the hood. My favorite set in all Dark Souls is the Elite Knight set and if you look, the Fallen Knight is that+ the hood and cape. Plus it boasts very good physical defense for its weight. But again, your point is still valid.

It was one of the earliest armours you could get that looked good. When the game was still new everyone and their mothers were using it, along with the Abyss Watchers set. It has since gained a stigma of being seen has a noob or beginner's set.

I think hatred for it is diminishing now that poise has improved, but it effectively was just a very good item set that metagamers would wear because of its unreasonably low weight.

da faqk saying the poise need improved? The poise in the game is broken the new version of poise.
-numbers of facts poise is just trashes joke:
- Poise pose to help invincibility of rolling way from attack, which you only get 0.005 increase dodging is good (no its not)
- the number poise is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lie it only able increase for extra 1 second if you had 30-50 poise up and no armor can't get a second added for of invincibility
- great to ultra weapons have large portion of hit box which it read all great+ultra swords, axes, are ultra size. Yes I noticed and ran test couple time with other players and ask for connection of their pings and yes tested length using great sword it was really glitch part of where rolling action will read great sword its really a ultra club poke which I hadn't touch the player in few feet.
- Poise is only good against bosses, not players or the invaders
- Did the DE improived their last time with their poise in the game? No, just no they didn't at all, only great for new poise stay in shape against bosses.
- new poise is not good enough when it comes to too many hits or uncontrollable over hits that put more then 3-10 second stun lock, you can't even escape if poise pose to dislock stunlock (that what I've read someone's info, do not blame me if the infomation is incorrect, blame the guy who information got it wrong)

So anyway, back to the armor being all nicely, Yes I like the armor its fashionable and keep the armor getitng wet and rusted out by worst terrains including the weather dmg to it. Cloak is really meant for be a rain coat in the first moment and also use for winter for warmth and protection against the icey cold wind so the armor don't get all super iced up. Not much about people know what is purpous of the cloak over the armor, but in infomation I got why few knights wear cloak over themselves is that keeping a certant VIP to be under cover and cause less attention to who ever they are safe guarding in some what areas.

P.S I am bit tipsy, fact I might have terrable grammar for time being.

Personally I think the set is overrated (fashion souls, I mean, you are right that the stats are pretty good, but who cares about stats in armour in this game?) but that isn't why I hate it.

I hate it because its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ overused. I mean, DS3 doesn't really boast too much of a variety for armour fashion souls but *come on*...

This. The helm isn't even completely different, it's the same close helm but split open. The original eye slits are above the new opening.
