6p brawl mostly, 4p brawl is definitely more active, strangely.
I have no idea why they only made one map that recycles already existing asetts.
Honestly figured they'd use the really pretty arena we fought the Gravetender in? The Kiln is a really weird, and non-sensical location.
More maps are surely coming, don't think it's map related.
More maps might get patched in, I suppose? Either way, next DLC is solely focusing on PvE/narrative. As I said, weird that the location where we fought the Gravetender went unused. Very pretty locale, and would be easy to recycle.
Regarding Arena activity, your time zone/average log-in is going to largely determine who you see on/how active things are. When I'm playing, it's quite active.
Yeah, when I saw the grave guy boss fight arena, I figured this will be a pvp arena, this is such a waste. I honestly don't know why they made that bossfight so big in the first place, even with the wolf jumping around, I never found myself using even half of the space...
Anyway, for me, big part of the fun in pvp is using terrain and atmosphere (a fight in the graveyard feels different then a fight in smouldering lake, no matter if you duel or randomly invade), so I was excited to get the main duel area away from the boring Pontif half circle arena, but now we have same same but different, same map for fights all the time...it got boring for me after a few days, now I'm playing Bloodborne, not kidding, after that, I replay Demon's Souls, and hope that the nextt dlc for DS3 is out till I finished both games again.
It should be random, or like in DS2, if you chose a map, but there are only players on the other map, you would automaticly joining the other maps. They have proven they know how to do this in DS2.
