Game keeps freezing...! (solved)

Now and then my game will freeze. I use a controller to play. When the game unfreezes, my control has stopped working and usually takes about a minute to start working again. This has gotten me killed in PvE and PvP and eventually it's going to lead to a smashed controller!! I know it's not the particular controller that does it, because I've tried other controllers as well and the same issue occurs. However, it may be the fact I'm even using a controller that causes the problem because while the controller stops working, I can still use the mouse and keyboard.

What might be the cause of this? I use a PS4 controller through DS4 Windows.

same issue here i bet its the controllers fault -- mine has a loose contact and thus keeps deconnecting and reconnecting making the game freeze and stutter :(

I might try playing on Big Picture Mode or something, in case it's DS4 Windows. And why would you ask that Le_Rieur?! Did you perhaps run into a certain lady from Mirrah wielding the Bastard Sword?

I actually discovered the problem to be DS4 Windows. Using the controller on Big Picture Mode helped.
